Ha, I stumbled onto this review while searching for Ghys tube cane... it has produced fantastic reeds from the tubes despite sometimes cosmetic weirdnesses... "consistency" is more evident in the playing quality than in the visual appearance of the material.   Delighted to see that there is a direct contact for the Ghys company so that I can find more of this!

Thanks for the review.  The "Mineral deposits" line is pure BS, plain and simple.  Sorry.
