How I love Mack and Mabel. I took my then 8 year old daughter Kate to the charity performance in London in 1988. Lots of Mack's and Mabel's.
It was wonderful. She is now 37 and remembers more than fondly that night. We'd love another Mack and Mabel revival. I'd love to see Tracey Bennett as Mabel. Huge ability and a wonderful voice.

those Dimps of Michael run in the family his older looklike brother has them as well but Michael has the great voice he is half Welsh

Michael went for the big notes but not the essence of the song. It's a devastating lyric.

This score is not about holding big notes and "popping" up the style. Read the lyrics, and study the story. The original Broadway cast album is still unmatched in capturing the essence of what was trying to be presented. It's become more & more an opportunity for big names to chew scenery & song. Henshall is much closer to truth.
