I feel like everyone’s dream platform is YouTube, it really allows you to express yourself fully instead of limited to 15-30 seconds. I just started my journey on social media so this video helped a lot, thanks Matt!

My dream platform to have an audience on would be Instagram back in the day when you organically grow an audience by posting pictures. I liked it when every platform was known for their specific thing. TikTok found success with short videos, and everyone started copying them. They're all starting to feel the same.

Part of my current job is growing the social media accounts of the company I work for. I feels like, no matter what we do IG doesn't want to grow. YouTube on the other hand has seen the most growth since I started this job 6 months ago. Biggest change on YT was adding shorts to our weekly video posting.

Trust me when I say... brands have no idea how to do brand deals on tiktok. Some niche's have figured it out, but for the most part, none of them know how to price services, or even how to work with creators on the platform.

Love your breakdown! Just starting out here on YT and had sort of turned away from both short form and other platforms besides twitter. You provide some compelling arguments on why short form videos should be in the mix. Will definitely think again about that, thanks!

I've been quite confused which platform I should be focusing on. Been on Twitter for years, I find it much easier for our content to be shared by others, just be retweeting. I also love Instagram because I'm quite a photography enthusiast. But, jumping on to Youtube few months ago, really makes me realize that I love creating good videos. So now after watching your video, I'm convinced that I should be focusing more on Youtube. Thank you 🍻.

Amazing and pertinent breakdown Matti! I agree with everything you said. My favorite platform as well as my dream platform would be YouTube which I am working on. However it is sad that photographers no longer have a platform to grow on. I think that it is time for creators to band together and make a photography platform which harnesses all the successful features of the current social media platforms to give photographers and photography lovers a place to thrive because we do still exist!
