Just replaced my “cheap” non shotgun seat with the “dearer” one. I can’t describe how much more sturdy this feels and the ease of mounting the seat is compared to the inferior one.
Without having been out for a ride, I’m super excited and hope for appropriate weather (no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing) so I’ll be out 100%

I have been wanting a product just like this. I bought myself a new mountain bike in 2018 and got rid of my old bike. I was so disappointed when I realized none of my kid carriers would work with my new bike. Even my tow behind. I just bought this and have done a few rides with my son. He has just turned 3 and my daughter is 5 riding her own bike now. I can say this has worked extremely well for us. It fits my full suspension bike really well. As far as clamping force you can play with it. you do not have to crank down the bolts and crush your frame just tighten tell it holds tight and doesn't wiggle around. There is lots of rubber on it that is very grippy. Most of the pressure holding the carrier on is from the center leaver which you can adjust clamping pressure very easily. I have an aluminum frame. I do think this would work well on a carbon bike.

Once installed, is the seat supposed to swivel backward or is it pretty immovable on the bike? Is there a certain frame it won't work with. I have a GT aggressor pro

Just a question about how you guys setup the suspension with the seat. Do you guys pump more air into the fork or use the lockout feature of the fork? Awesome product by the way!

My daughter is terrified of the shotgun seat and has a melt down every time I try to put her on it. Any tips for getting her to overcome her fear? I was really looking forward to some adventures together :-(

Does it fit on a 2021 Cube Stereo Hybrid eBike? Top tube is about 70-75mm, down tube about 100-105mm.

My daughter is about to turn 2 and she absolutely loves going for a ride with her WeeRide front seat. Since she is slowing growing out of it and now I feel she would be able to balance and hold herself well enough, I'll be looking to upgrade to one of these. But I do have at least one question jumping out at me. What is stopping the seat from slipping forward? I can see that the footrest bolts would prevent too much slip back, but it seems the only thing preventing forward slip is the side pressure from the swingarms. I'd be a little concerned that this isn't sufficient when the road gets bumpy. Anybody with experience of these seats jump in here to advise if my concerns are warranted? Thanks 🙂

Axle damaged the bottom tube. What did I do wrong? The seat kept sliding down the seat post and the initial clearance of the axle was no longer in place and started to rub the tube. There should be some sort of rubber sleeve provided to cover the axle after it’s installed. May be I made a mistake installing but the axle worked like nails and scratches the frame. I am really annoyed. It’s a brand new bike. I had the 3M wrap on the frame but looks like it went thru it. How can I share pictures?
