We are planning for 65 day road trip to Alaska in the spring of 2025, along the Alaska Highway, then the a 3 day ferry ride back to Washington stated, then back across the US to home.

BTW, Happy Veterans Day, John! That was a great pic of you when you were in Fairbanks! Could not get over how big Eielsen AFB is ... We rode by it several times on our trip. It stretches out a long way!

My Dad and his Army aviation engineer battalion built Eilson AFB as well as McCoy AFB (now Orlando International) in 1950/51. Enjoy your trip made all the more enjoyable and safe through thorough planning.

Awesome! My daughter and her family live in Alaska. I can't wait to watch you on your trip.
My son in law has been in the Airforce since 2005. They started out in Alaska, moved to AZ for a few years and then back to Alaska. They love it!
If I remember correctly that can be a bumpy road.
She was expecting her first child when they moved to AZ.

My wife and I had planned a trip around Australia this year via our motorcycle (BMW K1600GTL) but we realized that at our age (70) and the amount of gear that we needed for 3-4 months was too much for us to take on a bike. So we rented a wreck ( a 2004 Ford Station wagon). We covered over 16, 000 miles. A great trip. You will have a great trip. Planning is essential for a great trip. Be safe.

We must have lucked out with the seasons as far as rain... We were there in July and August... Mostly warm and dry... Usually cooler and rainier along the coast. I was surprised how warm it was actually in the interior. 🤷‍♀️

Can't wait for the trip video. Should be a winner. My trips will be smaller this year as I'm looking at replacing ( way overdue) furnace & water heater. ➕️ all the bikes are needing their servicing. 😱🤢$$. After seeing your service picture, I was wondering if you lost the stach and darkened darkened the roof, would the results be comparable?? Lol. 👍👍

Did not know about the 11 year cycle and the sun with the northern lights... So awesome you'll get to see them! We couldn't hang around Alaska long enough so we just missed them...
