Holy shit, I looked through the comments expecting a lot of hate and judgement, and all I found was people who understood, or are trying to understand. Thanks everyone for restoring my faith in humanity a little, you're all great people =)

I haven't been able to watch this without crying yet. This is how God intended parents to raise their children. Unconditional love. I fall apart during the scene with the dad sitting in the child's room, holding the dress in one hand, and realizing how many gendered stereotypes they were raised on and just how much he was EXPECTING from them when you should never have pressure on a kid for what they're going to grow up to be.

It's terrifying, *absolutely terrfying*, on how strong social norms are and how shackled we are to them.

Innocent people have been murdered because they haven't conformed to being 'normal'. Shit like that haunts me.

I love the ending with the child jumping-like Billy Elliot.
I almost started crying when the dad came to meet the child at the school.

The child's smiling face at the end--just overflowing with love and joy--gets me every time!

As a trans male I really appreciate this video and it really hits home on how people will treat someone who doesn't conform to social norms.

Un magnifique clip, on ne peut plus "d'actualité" et un message, j'espere, qui atteindra tous ceux et celles qui soutiennent la haine de l'autre et non respect de la différence  !!!

La musique est vraiment raccord et très douce !!!!

I'm literally crying so hard right now. This is amazing. For a girl that looks like a boy (short hair, masculine clothes, a masculine body shape) it's not nice to deal with people calling me a boy all the time, or asking if I'm a lesbian because I have short hair (hair doesn't correlate with sexuality!). I'm also planning to wear some sort of suit for Leavers Day this year and already I can see everybody staring and the comments I'm going to get. But you know what? I don't care - I will just do what I want because I'm the only one who should and can make a decision about what I look like.
That is why this video is so uplifting! A parents' understanding and recognition about who you are is the most important thing, because parents are the only ones who can teach kids what's right.

The thing is with boys and girls, girls can go around like a tom-boy, with the baggy clothes and the hoodie and stuff and not get judged for it because its one of the feminine personalities that is recognized now-a-days.(Correct me if I'm wrong, I am a tom-boy and I have not been bullied or judged for my male like actions) But if a boy is caught doing feminine things like playing with dolls and wearing dresses its a completely different story. I see nothing wrong with it myself, of course yes it may take a while to get used to it for some people. You people just gotta get you heads out of the sand and haul your asses back into the present time. This is not the 1800's, this is today, and today we should have some sort of respect for one anothers personalities and choices.

Unconditional love for your children isn't just about the money you spend for their gadgets, education etc. Love is all about acceptance...and most parents forget that.
