A mnemonic for acute leukaemia ages:
ALL - adults Least likely ~ children (10 yrs)
AML - adults Most likely (50 yrs)

One helpful mnemonics is
ALL= aCute Little Leukemics
AML= Aged Men Leukemia (walking with a cane ~Auer rods)
CML= Phillidelphia CreaMcheese
CLL= Crushed Little Lymphocytes (Smudge cells)

Note: BCR-ABL1 is the same as Philadelphia chromosome

You could say the defining characteristic of CLL would be the "smudge cells" possibly, but other than that this video is spot on!

Age profiles/demographics
ALL- affects ALL ages (especially kids-B cell for Boys, T cell for Teens)
AML- Ages Mid to Late- adults
CML- Comes Mid to Late- adults
CLL- Comes Late Late- seniors
HCL- Hairy Biker (Hairy Cell), clad (cladribine) in leather, with a fat belly (organomegaly)

Andddd this is heading directly to my anki deck. Love your videos. I find them to be extremely useful for very high yield topics. Gives just the minimal amount of information necessary to get the question right, and in the end thats kinda all that matters. I think some people psych themselves out on Step questions. Most of the questions are really very simple if you know little tips and stuff like this. You don't have to know every detail about everything. Just recognize patterns and key findings and you'll get a lot of questions right.

Thank you so much! I kept rereading my nursing textbook on this subject, but it didn't click until you super simplified the name for each and put them on a little spectrum! Acute is immature, Chronic is mature, and Myeloid means neutrophils. The medial and lateral letter association worked great! Thank you :)
