In democracies, talking about issues is the first step towards solving them. However, Pakistan is not a democracy. It's basically 250 million people at gunpoint. And you don't develop efficient public systems for a country of inmates.

Nowadays majority of old Indian trains has been replaced by new Vande bharat express.. You can see that, it's so much luxurious..
Other than this, we are also working on our futururiastic Hyperloop project..which will be completed by the year 2025.

The Best thing Pakistan Railway can Learn from Indian railway is "Safety" .
1) Using LHB Series coaches - these coaches are replacing the old ICF (blue) coaches and they are much more safer as the bogies don't pile up in a situation of an accident . In the recent accident many lives were saved due to this design otherwise casualty numbers would be much much higher as these coaches spread out instead of piling up .
2) Electronic Signaling - Using Electronic signaling system and track changing instead of manual one
3) Anti Collision system - Installing anti collision system which we have just started with our own (Kavach system)
4) Better Maintenance practices - Which we also need to work on especially after the accident

5) Focusing on efficient and fast Cargo transport - like India is working on "Dedicated Freight corridors" which are dedicated tracks built only for Goods train . doubled stacked container Goods train with worlds most powerful loco can travel unto 100kmph + on these tracks hence earning money for the railways and reducing logistics cost.
6) Electrification - It reduces operating costs for the railways

Pakistan is obsessed with Europe. India didnot learn a lot from Europe as much we learnt from other Asian countries. Hong Kong and Japan played a role in advancement of Indian Metro Systems, one through expertise and other via funding.

Even though humari Trains are very well maintained and new one's like Vande Bharat looks quite First world from Inside and Outside, They are still very slow compared to East Asia and Europe . Our Fastest Train runs at 160km/hr at max . Even though We have trains that can run at 200kmph but Our Tracks are so outdated that they can't sustain those speeds . Hope we'll catch up soon 🤞🏽

Correction: None of the ICE versions feature magnetic levitation. Also the top speed of 330 km/h is only achieved by ICE 3 on very limited routes; maily to/from France.
