How To Read A Tape Measure-Tutorial For Inches, Feet, And Fractions Of An Inch

In this video, I show you how to read a tape measure! It is a really easy process, and I tell the meaning of each of the lines that you see. I go over feet, inches, and fractions of an inch, and I also explain the relationship between each of the different fractions of an inch. The main purpose of using a tape measure is to allow you to accurately measure a length, and you need to know the value of each of the lines in order to do that!

Easy way to measure.things: Throw away the imperial tape measure and get a metric one. I say that as a natural born US citizen living in Texas.

Some one told me that the serpentine belt is 54.9 in.ches...so is 54 inches but whats the 9?

im still confused about the ft tiny lines, if its between a red number how would you read that? for example lets say something is the lenght of a 1ft but its between black lines of two red numbers? lets say between the number 2 and 3?
