If you put the second piece under the top one you can cut just once and the lines will match.
Thanks for wonderful tutorials.

Julia, you are such a craft adventurer! I'm so glad you tried this, it has been a mystery to me how to do curves so it's neat to see you do it. And the second view on the sewing machine was definitely more revealing and helpful than the first, just my two cents. Thank you for sharing with us!!

Thank you Julia ! I have only just discovered this type of quilting, it appeals to me so much more than a complex pattern. I will buy the book, thanks for the recommendation! Bridget 🤗

Hi Julia - The curves add a pretty wave to the whole fabric piece. Really pretty. Can’t wait to see the next video. Would be pretty to use earthy color fabrics and make a journal cover and add cutout trees or birds to it. Happy Day! Hugs.

I think it would be easier if you layer both fabrics face up and make one cut. I love your work!

Love Jeans work. I have her book. I’m drawn more to quilting of that type. Good job on your video. Thanks.

Thanks for sharing! As always so inspiring! I love this tecnique, it reminds me of the ”quarter circle” ruler tecnique (can’t remember what the ruler is called now), but in principle you divide squares with a quarter circle cut and join them in the same way you show, without pinning. Looking forward to your next film! Happy Valentines Day, Julia! ❤️

I would love to try this wavy technique to make a lake and beach look and combine it with your appliqué tutorial on fall leaves by sewing on fish. I’m just not great at coming up with ideas but your videos help.

Love your videos. You are so enjoyable to watch and your teaching is great. Are you still planning to make a video on how to make this into your mini quilt?
