ArmA 2 - Eagle Wing Playthrough - Mission 1

Thought I'd create a type of mini series where I play trough some of the best ArmA 2 campaigns, official & community made. Let me know what you think. Suggest & give advise :)

Probably my favorite campaign out of the three. Since for once the guy had an actual character. Instead of having being that robot voice that says the required minimum it needs to say he made an actual joke.

eagle wing, eagle whiskey, Ed Winter, the campaign is called EW... my god bohemia, i get it already, no need to fill the entire campaign with self refferences to the campaign's title lol

I can try to explain.
they took a unit to make the camera and made him invisible, had AI fly the chopper, and used "Attachto" and "detach" scripts for the camera and added the cinimatic border in effects. hope that kinda explains

Nice video! I just installed the game yesterday and tried flying this heli, but I have no joystick and it all went terribly bad - crashed the helicopter 3-4 times in a row. Is a joystick necessary for this game, or can you use mouse+keyboard when flying the jets and helicopters?

I know this was a while ago, but for anyone having this problem: This seems to have started happening after the 1.60 patch. My advice is to put the chopper in auto-hover immediately after completing the 'Icarus' objective. Then it won't flip out and crash.

i die for no reason after destroying the 2nd hind i stay well above the trees and circle around while my gunner kills the tank things and then my helicopter just explodes with full health

Thatb shit mission aint workin for me, when im pressing backspace to look at the targets it directly closes the small window and i cant select the target + they are shooting way earlier than they did at u and i turned on easy...

Did you use your mouse and keyboard or a joystick, if you used a joystick, which one?

yeah i tried going straight to the objective and then approaching it from the side same thing though

tried this, heli wouldnt stop crashing. Cant seem to go up 10/10 would crash again

I use A2+OA (not really in a whole CO pack) and RFT, for some reason, when I finish Icarus, and the camera.sqs begins, my chopper flips out and crashes, making me die and..unable to complete the mission. I can't really do anything right now because of the SOPA strike. Help?

the hud on screen looks completely different to my copy of arma 2, nor do i get the proper 'ping' targeting when using the sidewinders. is this an option or an addon? i have the latest patch but not OA or CO.

no warning though usually i get a warning and i can flare for it this im just flying normally and i just blow up no getting past it so far
