The MCU is always delivering a watered down depiction of actual characters

MODOK should've been the main villain of the movie, with Kang only being revealed towards the end

Given that Kang turned Darren into MODOK and the fact that that Kang was more than likely not the Kang of that Ant-Mans universe, I personally think that Kang took inspiration from a MODOK he encountered on his journey of destruction across the multiverse plus the state of Darren's body when he found him to create his own version. A version that he can easily control which is why his intellect was not improved like the originals were. Meaning its still possible for a more accurate depiction of MODOK to show up in the main MCU timeline.

When the Avengers game does it better, there's a problem

I said this a couple of weeks ago before the movie came out. I think Antman Quantamania should've been a movie about him going into the Quantum realm and finding out that MODOK was in control of everything. The post credit scene for this film should've been a Teaser of Kang helping to bring Modok into power. I'm a writer and this would've been a better movie had they went that direction. This way Kang doesn't look so weak. Now I see so many people echoing my idea online. Great minds think alike.

I want a MODOK ver. 2. I just felt very underwhelmed seeing this adaptation of him. Redemption for the crazy, intelligent, giant floating head!

I always wondered how Modok goes to the bathroom

I'm hoping this was just an unusual variant, like gator Loki is to our Loki.

Also i think a more faithful adaptation would have been way better than what we gotten

M.O.D.O.K's introduction into the mcu wasn't or isn't as hard as some make it out to be. while the idea of a floating, killer head is ridiculous in idea or concept however the foundation was there, the story was there. it was up to the writers how to figure it out. A.I.M has existed since it's introduction as far back as iron man 3. all they had to do, was either introduce George tarleton, or write Darren better, as well as make his escape back to earth-616 and the pieces could of all fell into place. instead, we get a floating, talking punchline of a side character. and a bizarre/poorly written take on him. no I don't think he was done justice. funny? yeah I won't argue that, but was it the best adaptation? no.

Didn't hate the new version, but they definitely did MODOK dirty with this one. He could've been so much more of a problem and had a way bigger story arc, especially with him being good in the end.

I am surprised they even tried to insert MODOK in the MCU. That being said I didn't mind how they made him. To me adding him was a bonus. It made sense and tied in the first antman movie. I wish they didn't kill him off and instead saved him to create AIM later. I do not see them introducing another MODOK. With all the villains at their disposal he isn't popular enough to make another.

MODOK was the worse part of the movie. He should have been a scary freak of Science gone very wrong. He looked like a JIBJAB Happy Anniversary card.

That image of modok’s real face makes him look like he just smoked himself into a new *realm*

This M.O.D.O.K. was so bad, made me nostalgic for Aldrich Killian from Iron Man 3.

MCU is its own money-centric thing and expecting them to follow the source material of any character is a gamble at best.

I mean I kinda understand some people's outrage mostly about the VFX for him and I bet the awkward redemption since this is a guy who did horrible unforgivable things in the first "Ant-Man" movie before
