Meta's Insane Plan to Change VR Forever.

Hello and welcome to TUESDAY NEWSDAY! Your number one resource for the entire weeks worth of VR news! I have been gone for a long time- taking some very much needed time away from Youtube and the internet- BUT I AM BACK!

And it's for good reason. Meta just laid out some of the craziest plans I could have ever imagined. Almost over night solving (or potentially solving) some of the biggest issues VR has in the market right now. Of course- along with new plans comes new potential dangers. Right now we're looking at a new store, new operating system, and Meta partnering with other vendors to sell headsets with the new Quest operating system. Wild.

Well- here goes. Thank you so much for 5 years of Thrillseeker. You all have given me so much brightness and happiness in my life. I cannot wait to explore AR and VR with you all and make some crazy stuff.

I have been gone from the internet for the past couple months as I have been working really hard on leveling up and figuring out where I want to go moving forward. I found it. We will explore. Together. I also have no clue how badly the channel will be hit for taking such a long break away- but no matter the damage, WE WILL REBUILD! I have a lot of crazy things to show you guys. For a developer, opening up the Quest OS to other hardware will raise new problems. Different hardware and different specs will inevitably lead to bugs that developers will need to support and fix. At present, a developer can try to reproduce a bug on quest 2 and/or 3, but this change may mean that developers will need to have access to every headset that comes out for testing. Each piece of software will also need settings to adjust graphics/processing to allow for different hardware. Basically, standalone XR goes from being development for a console to development for a PC.
