Even though this actors "crying voice" sounded super fake, baby Simba is literally so cute.

Even his "fake sadness" is too much to handle.

The only good thing about this scene is that, unlike the original, Scar actually PRETENDS to be sad and shocked at the same time. In the original, Jeremy Irons didn't hide Scar's lack of sorrow to his brother's death and he was lucky that Simba was overcome with sorrow that he couldn't suspect it. And the anger in Scar's voice when he tells Simba to "run away and never return" would have scared the shit out of Simba in this scene.

1:35 that shot of Scar glaring into the camera with the hyenas emerging from the fog is actually quite terrifying. That's one thing this remake did really well - they made the villains so intimidating.

Scar's accusations towards Simba here are a lot of darker while it was a bit lighter in the animation film, especially in te end, when Scar actually growls aggressively and yells at Simba to leave and never come back.

The scene about mufasa’s death brings me to tear every time. Especially when samba lays with him. I know what’s it’s like to lose a parent or loved one. When my grandmother died, I got into her bed and I laid next to her cold body and I feel asleep for about ten minutes. After that, they took her away. That was worst day of my life.

the music when he lies next to his deceased father is very sad.. And yes, Scar's accusations are more serious and would break any child when he says: "Your father put his hopes in you, he gave you so many chances and that's how you pay him?" and Simba saying: "I didn't know, I didn't know" "What am I going to do now" with his sad voice and crying breaks me always, It gives me compassion and sadness.. And when he tells him to run away, I'm sure it scares him a lot more after the tragedy that he had just experienced.

thats probably the only poor thing about this film, the lack of facial expressions, which i get the reason for....but it sorta takes away from the drama when happy and sad moments look the same facially

...that being said, scar's voice is straight up the best thing i have heard on a lion since Jeremy irons truly menacing! and nothing sounded colder than "kill him"

The voice acting in this movie is just... bad. Scar is the only exceptional one.

Problem with this movie is that they show no emotions. Especially Simba in this scene. He looks dead, yet hes crying? They should have shown his expressions. Damnit. They dont even make him lay back his ears in fear as Scar is telling him to run away.

1:39 Scar orders his hyena henchmen to kill simba. Fancy how the main villain, criminal master, leader of the bad guys acts through their henchmen to murder their enemies by simply giving the order "Kill him" 😆

In the remake, he really made him guilty but in the animated movie it wasn’t that powerful in my opinion.
