Queen Elizabeth is bidding a somber farewell to her husband of 73 years. The monarch appeared to wipe away a tear while arriving for Prince Philip’s funeral on Saturday. Her majesty was accompanied by a lady in waiting as she rode behind the Duke of Edinburgh’s casket and entered St. George’s Chapel alone, dressed in all black and wearing a face mask. The Queen remained solo for the ceremony as well. Covid-19 restrictions prevented more than 30 people from attending the service in person and only people from the same household could sit together.

99 years of life and 73 years of marriage a blessing. Even with this loss the Queen is definitely blessed.

Can you imagine loosing everyone you knew since you were little. How alone it must feel even when you still have children and more.

It breaks my heart that she had to be alone. I just wish everyone of her loved ones could give her a hug.

I have been widowed for 4 years after 41 years of marriage. I am still devastated at his loss. After 73 years I don't know how rough it will be for the Queen. God bless her.

The Queen is one strong women. Emotionally she is battered but give her time and she will rise like a Phoenix, her job isn’t finished yet.

I feel bad for the Queen, she’s lost everyone now, apart from her kids and grandkids. She’s outlived everyone she’s loved. I imagine that’s very difficult and lonely. I adore her and my thoughts and prayers are with her.

How awful to not only lose a husband a father, a grandfather, a great grandfather. Plus a partner of 73 years. So sad for the majesty🖤

Her Majesty is such a strong and well respected woman. I’m a simple 40 year old American...but she’s still my Queen.

You could see how hard today was on her. She had her head down whole time to hide under her hat. We could all feel her pain. But it was such touching funeral. Minute the truck pulled up it broke my heart. Rip prince Philip god bless our queen

The Queen has handled this with such dignity . We have the most remarkable monarch her strength is admirable & her service to her people & territories just outstanding. Today she showed what it is to British GSTQ & RIP Prince Philip your service will not be forgotten ✝️
