Dogs know if they break skin! I have 2 chihuahuas that feel terrible if I get in the middle of them and I get hurt. They automatically stop fighting and look to lick my wound. I realize now it’s just a dance they do both being male. I don’t get in the middle!

Actually works to train puppies not to bite. Using it now on my little terrier pup. I squeal like a hurt puppy when bites, then he stops with that SORRY look. When he licks, I praise and pet him, saying KISSES GOOD! Puppies are hardwired to understand when they hurt another being.
