If an induction is what you feel most comfortable with then absolutely go for it, but don’t let anyone push you into an induction if you don’t feel comfortable with it. You know your body better than anyone else so trust your mama instincts and remember that God created your body to give birth! You got this! Praying for a smooth labor and delivery!

Doctors push induction frequently for convenience. Inducing because you’re a smaller person will not necessarily make the labor easier. In fact, pitocin frequently causes heart rates to drop. Baby will come when it’s ready, there’s no reason to induce just because you’re small. And first time moms frequently go to 41 ish weeks so don’t be discouraged that you’re only 1 cm

Don’t fret doctors always estimate size wrong / ultrasounds two week off either direction. I’m 5’3 was 100 pounds when got pregnant first baby was 8 pounds 7 oz. 2nd baby 8pounds 13 oz 21 inches. 3rd baby 8pounds 15oz 22 inches. Also dilation doesn’t mean anything so don’t worry :)

I'm not a dr., but I am a Mom. I'm petite too (5'2", and 100lbs back then) and had 3 big baby boys. 10, 9 and almost 9 lbs! None induced. You got this Tiffany!

I had a friend that was and OBGYN nurse for over 30 years and she said about 80 percent of the inductions are not necessary for medical reasons. Sadly they do it for doctors convience AND because they get more $$ for inducing. At the end of the year they actually get bonus for having patients induced and for c-sections. Obviously you have to do what’s best for you but something to consider. Good luck!
