Parts of Fort Myers completely destroyed by Hurricane Ian

Hurricane Ian left behind catastrophic damage across portions of southwest Florida, making landfall as a Category 4 storm and pushing in a devastating storm surge.

As it pressed inland, the storm dumped at least a foot of rain across a wide swath of the Florida peninsula, which is causing — and will prompt — river flooding.

My prayers are with the people of Florida and Fort Meyers. It is very sad that this storm was not by nature alone, it had its help with H.A.A.R.P, no doubt about it, how does large sections of Tampa Bay have no water only ground...where did the water go to? It didn't flood inland or in Tampa, very odd...

I wonder how many people wont get any insurance money because their home is considerd substanily damaged, lf code inforcment says its it is damaged were the repairs coast exceed 50% of the market value and its in a flood zone than they might not allow any repairs because they want the house on stilts, and if they wont issue a permit to do repairs than the insurance may not pay out ! If the president really wants to help than he needs to change the flood laws . If you own it you should be able to repair it

It was crazy this guy comes into port after the storm with a boatload of shrimp. He made gumbo and fed thousands of ppl. We asked his name but he said nothing. He just pointed and looked up. When we looked up he vanished.
