if u already cap crit rate and dmg with opulent dreams, hunter wont be any better. In the other hand, if you dont have redhorn and crit is not capped, this new set will be better. Your hunter's set is forced to play with furina though.

With Furina you can run Def% goblet + Maréchaussee hunter so this can somewhat alleviate the def loss.

Plus Furina uses golden troupe so I believe most are better off farming Maréchaussee

Genshin Scientist was claiming that Husk set is better than Hunter set if Noelle is using Redhorn as her weapon because Redhorn gives more bonuses based on defense. For all other weapons, Hunter set wins.

I was gonna stick with Husk but with MH set I don't have to worry about not criting and it feels really nice

If we compare these two sets in exactly the same substats and taking the same Cr%/CrDMG ratio, with Redhorn Stonethresher, it turns out that the Hunter set does not give us any increase in damage values for Noelle. It only increases the frequency of critical hits. The average critical damage value per full NA rotation will increase by only 12%. And considering that good pieces of Husk set been farmed for two years already at this point, then you will have to farm Hunter set exactly the same amount of time just to match the overall damage with Husk set. So the new set didn't bring any hype for Noelle, unfortunately..

Well given i'm just using a very mid glad set and need to farm the domain for furina anyways, my choice of sets is obvious at least until furina is good to go. If i manage to get a good hunter set along the way, she gets an upgrade for the team i actually plan on using her on.

In my opinion Hunter set is better no matter what. Crit rate is so valuable and this set allows you to focus on crit dmg and energy recharge.

it also depends on your weapon, redhorn gain so much more from def in addition to C6 while using Fav mean your Noelle damage will be much lower but you gain smoother rotation and you can invest more on your sub dps damage as they use less ER

in fact, using 4 sets Petra is not a bad idea for either 3 hydro+Noelle or 2 Hydro+Albedo+Noelle where your Noelle is not a hyper carry but just one of the 4 damage dealing members in the team. I think if you have Redhorn you can either use Yunjin or Gorou or both and then Furina and Noelle to maximize your damage and be a hyper carry and see a huge number on screen like never before while Furina, Yelan, Albedo, and Noelle are more balanced as I've said earlier, everyone is dealing damage and benefit from Furina buff but each individual doesn't deal that much damage and then the in-between like Furina, Yelan, Yunjin or Furina, Gorou, Albedo, etc.

Sadly I do not have Redhorn so I tried using Whiteblind and I managed to clear Abyss 12 but I do not really enjoy the experience and tried using Fav sword later and enjoyed it more, My Albedo using Spindle, Furina is using Jade cutter (her talent is still 6/6 but once I double crown her the team will feel better) and yelan using fav bow then Noelle with fav sword, she can proc it three times as I have R5, the first on her switching, then 6th second and 12th second before I switch to refresh the duration for everyone. This mean on each rotation I have 4 fav proc making it so much easier to manage ER and team energy and the damage albeit a bit lacking is still more than sufficient.

Really can't underestimate Albedo, with Gorou and Furina buff and a new 4-set artifact hitting 50-60k is possible, even just Furina C0 crowned hitting 40k is not difficult, IMHO he brings more team DPS than buffing Noelle using Yunjin or Gorou unless you have R5 redhorn (that said some enemy just outright destroy his construct making him useless so that's that)

Anyway cheers for all Noelle main out there, I have used her since 1.3 and I'm so happy with all the (indirect) buff she is getting over the year.

I've 1 year of resin at least invested in Husk. It'll be awhile until I get a Hunter set that's even close for a comparison. I can hit 100k with Noelle now with t12 Furina burst.

TLDR both sets are good, husk does more damage but hunter is more consistent/easier to build.

Tbh thou if u already have a good pieces for husk that balanced ur crit rate/damage u can still pair furina with Noelle and can even buff her dmg even more
