Upgrading PostgreSQL on AWS RDS with (almost) zero downtime

Почему бы просто не использовать pg_logical для логической репликации ( в кейсе апгрейта с 9+ на 10/11, да, он встроен с 10-ки, но что мешает его поставить на 9+?), что значит вы не можете? не можете поставить экстеншен потому что это AWS RDS? (но зато можете взять букардо?).
