man iracing is such a pleasure to watch, the graphics really got nice in it's own way
they're just clean, no massively jagged lines and stuff
popular grids on ring meister, like now gt3 or last week sfl are probably dope content when starting from the back in bit lower splits avoiding all the mess xD

Biggest thing to do when starting out is learning the physics and just keeping it clean. In these rookies races, a lot of time people will just flat out take each other out. I don't Q in rookie races, I just start in the back and pick up what I can. I've won quite a few races like this just from not making mistakes while others did. These were in close to 2K iRating lobbies which is a pretty big step up from Rookies. Definitely just be patient, use the draft (tow) to set up your passes on long straights. Don't go for passes in technical sections in rookies, it will very rarely work out. :) Keep it up!

Also, check mirrors into turn 1 if someone is behind you, if there is, they will almost always go for the dive bomb into turn 1. I almost exclusively just give up the inside going into turn 1 and let them over shoot and take someone else out. The race doesn't start until the 2nd lap really, so many try to win on the first turn.

Haha, glad its not just me struggling when starting online racing. Pretty much everyone I talk to have the same experience.
Other racers are incredibly aggresive, some stupid, others a bit too brave and some even brake 50 meters early when you are right behind them..
I have accumulated an estimate of 2-3k hours in online sim racing now and sometimes I still get tangled up with these guys, but the more experienced I become the more I realize that I was also one of those guys :D Racecraft is important.

1:31 I crashed straight through a tree and kept going. The physics are straight out of BeamNG! 😆 Is anyone even working on this game? The real issue is updating it to a new engine with RayTracing and optimising it for every single player’s hardware. By the way, Forza has the best optimisation hands down, + Le Mans Ultimate, props to them! 👏

Fanatec ffb for iracing is one of the better algorithms imo. Fanatec has iracing down well compared to others.

When starting iracing, don't try and when just try to get clean laps with completed races with no incidents, this will progress you away from rookies and in to more sensible races where you can compete, just stay super defensive, if your not sure what a driver is going to do...let them have the POSITION CLEAN LAPS my friend....great video!

You can adjust your side mirror. Your left side mirror as you have it setup is just a 2nd rear view mirror looking straight behind you. Adjust it outward so it is actually looking at when cars have overlap on you and that will help with your racecraft.
