I am receiving this prompt and followed your directions and everything worked until I pressed enter and instead of scanning I received this message instead (Windows Resource Protection could not start the repair service) HELP PLEASE!! :(

Unfortunately, it doesn't work. The window "runDll32" comes automatically by start. I done all that you say at video, but by restart of computer, the window "rundll32" comes automatically again. I use Windows Vista.

**General Message**
If you are having trouble fixing this issue there are a few more steps you can take and perform an elimination process. First, make sure you are opening the Command Prompt "cmd.exe" as an Administrator. Second, you can restart you computer and run the Advanced Boot Options Menu. You can access this menu by pressing the "F8" key right before windows starts and select "Safe Mode". Then, run the steps I mention in this video (the resolution and size of icons will be different than your settings but that is normal when operating on Safe Mode. Third, press the windows icon on your computer at the same time as the 'R" key. The "Run" window will pop up and type "Taskschd.msc". This will bring up the task scheduler console window. Click on "Task Schedule Library" listed on the left panel; in the middle of the window there will be a list, look for "Background Container Startup Task", right click once and select "Disable". Restart your computer and That should have taken care of the problem. Let me know if you would like for me to make a video showing these options.

I have tried all that you have suggested regarding the rundll32.exe and it still keeps coming back. Everything seems work work fine but its just that rundll32 warning keeps popping up. I cant do a system reset because I don't have the the original windows vista installation disc. Do ya have any other ideas? Thank ya in advance..

When I do sfc /scannow it says
"Windows Resource Protection could not start the repair service."
