I have been hung up on shingles for a while. I have cork and those scissors already, and I never thought of that. Awesome job.

One way to use the animal bodies might be to use them as a kind of Beastmen warband. Cut off the back legs to repose them standing upright (or hunched). Hide the seams by draping them in paper towel or dried baby wipes, soaked in PVA glue, to form rough robes or rag clothing. (Maybe wrap their midsections with thread or twine soaked in PVA or superglue, for primitive belts). If you've got spare weapon arms from your model kits, chop the forelegs off of the animals and stick the human ones on (with more layers of clothing to hide the seams). Extra heads from kits also go here.

(You can take spare animal limbs and make even more extra bodies, using lengths of sprue to fill in the torso space. Cover these in more "cloth" to hide your kitbashing sins.)

8 min mark - priming foam with mod-podge:
So, it's no longer a guarantee that you can find the mini bottles of MP in dollar stores anymore; you might have to go to a dedicated hobby store like Michaels or Hobby Lobby, or you may actually get lucky with Walmart. If you join the cult & use it extensively, might be better to get an economy sized bottle instead, honestly.

You also don't strictly need Mod-Podge, it's actually the premium option with additives to a PVA base, you can instead just use high-strength PVA (& be sure to mix it with your choice of base-color paint to both add color & make it easier to apply).
Straight PVA is less fluid & less water-resistant than mod-podge, but it absolutely works. especially if you do the mix-it-with-paint trick

Idea for the bodies. Split them lengthwise and make a BBQ tower!

These buildings came out sick. I really want to get into some terrain builds, I might start with a 1x1 square that I can add to later. Great stuff.

Mate these are superb. I have just started building ruins and will steal some of your ideas. I use kitchen paper towel and white glue for building texture. I like your cork idea and the pegs for the walls. Plus animal heads. As for a use for the animal bodies..make a spit roast for scatter terrain...anyways glad I found you. From the UK

The broken popsicle sticks on the ends of the ruins look great.

And thanks for the tip on Sprue Dude!

Oh man. This amazing video came out at exactly the right time!!!

Right now, after our move, I have a TON of cardboard from the boxes we collapsed. I now know what I’ll be doing with it! :)

Also, about the animal bodies, save them. Drill a hole into the middle of the hole and twist a screw into that hole. Use the screw to anchor a brand new head. Perhaps an alien or corrupted head. Lol

This is a fantastic way to get terrain on the board quickly and under a limited budget. More time for playing the game, and you can always embellish the builds later, adding to the lore! Thanks for sharing.
