Stargardt disease is one of the most common forms of inherited retinal disease and leads to permanent vision loss.
In this episode, Dr Jason Charng talks about using artificial intelligence to help monitor the progression of disease based on autofluorescence images. The performance of the AI algorithm will be evaluated against the current clinical gold standard, followed by clinical application of the software in analyzing disease progression. In addition, the feasibility of analyzing fleck parameters as a trial endpoint in Stargardt disease will be explored.
