This is one of the coolest mantises I’ve ever seen and I didn’t know about these til now, so thank you. I also thought ohhh, dead leaf mantis. Not a leaf mantis that’s dead. What a releaf 😅

Dead leaf mantids are so striking - i really like the kind of "hood" that this one has on its thorax! It gives it a very "handsome" sort of appearance, y'know?

WOW..I am.amazed at this one. The shape of her body and her colour ( like a shiny silver)- I like the green praying mantis but this a whole another level!
I occasionally appreciate the beauty in SOME insects...but from a distance suits me fine!! Lol
