Sharpening Woodwork Tools - The Travisher (WIP Wednesday)

preview_player
Показать описание

Ben sharpens some Travisher blades, a woodwork tool made by James Mursell used for chair making, woodwork, sculpture, planing and a variety of other tasks. Ben makes the blades for these tools and sends them out to James to fit into their wooden bodies, from there they are shipped all round the world to makers, artists and craftspeople. Ben also briefly shows the two models of Travisher (a Deluxe Delrin & Brass and a regular Hard Maple Wood) and demonstrates how the tool is used.

Great watching you work Ben - and I'm still in love with the spoon knife you made for me a few months ago (cuts like oak like butter)

Hi Ben. Nice to see how they are being sharpened. Do you have any advice for re-sharpening the blade after use when I don't have a belt-grinder nor a buffing wheel?

Very interesting but I''m an old guy interested in the leather.
