On our travels to see Union Pacific's Big Boy #4014 in June 2019, we came across the Boone Scenic Valley Railway. Originally built for the Lake Superior and Ishpeming Railroad in November of 1951, #244 is a 1,000 Hp Locomotive. From the sounds of it, the Folks at BSVR take very good care of #244.
