I honestly think the announcement of the production of GTA San Andreas VR was done to stall and stop support of people attempting to port the game via fan ports that were popping up a few years ago when conversions were the new hotness.

I haven’t seen a Levi’s 501 tee—advertising a specific cut/style of button-fly jeans—since maybe 1988, when they were HUGE in the States, before the Gap stopped carrying them in favor of their own lines of jeans. Anywho, that’s awesome! 👍

HDMI app finally makes streaming my deck through immersed vr obselete. That only did 720p max on the free version.
1080p direct would be much much better!
Anymore news about the local dimming feature coming to the quest too?
And man, we need flat to VR ports officially developed for Q3.

I'm using the elgato 4k 60 cam link capture card and although it doesn't charge the quest while i use the card it works flawlessly, what i have discovered is its not the capture card its what source is connected to the device that determines the FPS i used my xbox and ps5 and got 60 FPS used my Ipad and Iphone and it was 9 FPS also if your capture card is not displaying properly as i ran into this issue just restart the source device and the quest 3 and wow! now i'm playing animal crossing new horizon on a 100 inch screen coming from my nintendo switch into my quest 3 headset. one last thing i have tested Nintendo switch oled, xbox series x, Ps5, Laptop and my Apple TV and its crazy my best feature is watching Apple TV all apps a go on a 100 plus inch screen Great Job Meta.

On hold. No, it was never in development. Suckerberg said it just to sell more Quest 2 headsets.

The "Hey Meta" command was avalible for 2 days and then it got removed leaving only the double click of the meta button to activate Meta's ai

Instead of reskining my icons I recolor them. There's an app that recolors *all* your icons, so no more outliers.

unfortunately I think the codec avatars will only be scannable with an ios device because of the hardware that uses face id since there are already 3d scanner apps that use it

What about VR via HDMI?

Google earth in VR isn't something I have used much but there is something cool about virtually being someplace real.
To my mind one of the attractions of AR/VR mass adoption is the possibility of being able to virtually travel the world in real time, even interacting with people AR enabled in such places.
I know people are already creating high resolution maps of places which shows an enthusiasm for such possibility.
I think live is the key though particularly interacting in VR with those who have AR.

Meta is all bark and no bite when it comes to them showing their high end features that we still don't get. I thought this was a Metaverse issue where they keep showing what COULD be in the future to try to push the Metaverse. But no. Here they still are with the fancy avatars that we will never get. I feel like we are at least 2 generations of headsets away from these features. We still don't even have the ability to AR objects in our room like they promised 2 years ago. By the time we actually get that feature the Quest 3 is going to be old and no devs will be interested in building them for us.
