Just remember, your black hair, no matter what form it is or what form you prefer, is filled with history and magic, black ladies.

Each and every one of you.

So, a teacher cut a child's hair because 'the beads were too loud'? That is ASSAULT.

Don’t just support the CROWN act, but also things that celebrate natural hair like the Academy Award Winning “Hair Love” and black stylists/products!

I think by far the worst assumption about black hair is that it’s dirty. Like no, anyone can have dirty care if they don’t take care of it properly. The nerve of some people 😡

Cutting off someone's hair because their beads were making "too much noise"????!??!?!?!?!?! That's really really really messed up. People who do that need to be roundhouse kicked

We need something similar in the UK. We experience these issues as well.

Black hair has been discriminated against for a long time and I am so glad these powerful Black women are speaking out and standing up.

Fascinating Glamour is doing this. I wrote a letter to Glamour about 7 years ago because in its 'Dos/Don'ts' section it described a woman of colors' curly hair as a Don't that made her look like a "poodle". We were in very different time and it was deeply offensive even then.

I'm half black and have a fro. I always hated my hair. People would say is it real? Put it up. Get a relaxer. I even been told its too distracting. I've been asked if its clean. I walked into an interview and he said what are you gonna do with that? Like as if it was a trash bag full of garbage. I now love my hair. Constantly wear it out in my fro and take such great care of it..honestly love yourself and hair. Altering looks solely based on the responses of society is not the answer.

As a young white girl with curly hair, I love everyone’s hair and it isn’t very common to be white and having naturally curly hair. I get made fun of at school and get stared at. People tell me all sorts of things about it, it has gotten to the point that my hair is really damaged because of how much a straighten it. My mum is a hairdresser and always tells me that I’m lucky but I just don’t see it. I hate going to school because I’m scared that my hair doesn’t look perfect enough and people will stare.

I know this video was specifically made for black women and they definitely have it worse than me. I like watching this and feeling that I’m not alone with hair discrimination but it’s really sad to hear that only black women have submitted their experiences. Racism is a despicable thing to support. BLM ✊🏻✊🏼✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿

Honestly who's dumb enough to diss someone for their hair?? We're all humans and filled with flaws, why not care about their flaws instead of pestering people because they're confident with their natural hair?

I have a question: I love complementing strangers since I'm very shy but also loving. I love seeing people's reactions. Would it be okay to compliment a person of colour on their hair? It's genuine, I've meet/ seen so many black people with beautiful smiles, gorgeous hair and so on. I'm scared I might stir up something when I mention their hair
