You can tell that Fritz went all out and was throwing everything but the kitchen sink at Sinner, but that wasn't enough to bring down the octopus from Italy...

There once was a dude named Fritz
who thought he was the shitz
until he met Sinner
who played like a winner
and made him look like a ditz..✌

Taylor is my favorite player currently, but unfortunately everything he does well Sinner does just a little bit better: service, baseline play, winners. Well deserved for Sinner.

Although, I was pleasantly surprised by Taylor’s net play.

he didn't play is best and won... how many many times we have see Novak not playing is best and winning? that is the mindset this player mindset must be impressive.

Americans are taught to serve as big as possible and to always go for winners. This makes sense, as the courts they grow up on are fast. Europeans, however, grow up on clay. They are taught to endure protracted rallies, to play high percentage tennis, and to make as few unforced errors as possible. At the highest level of tennis, where players play hundreds of points over five hours, and where _everyone_ is athletic enough to neutralize pace, the American game plan just doesn't work. Tennis is a marathon, not a knock-out sport.

A NEW LEGEND HAS BEEN BORN 😊. Alcaraz vs Sinner the next big rivalry of tennis like Djokovic vs Nadal. In any case the future of tennis is assured 💪 !

Fantastic match, helped by slightly cooler and less humid weather. Both players were incredible, great variety of brilliant shots. Shame that Taylor Fritz's level of play dipped in the last two games. Congratulations Jannik Sinner!

What an absolute horrific American crowd... I get it that you cheer your favorite on, but you simply don't cheer when the opponent has to play 2nd serve for example... disgustingly disrespectful 😲 Congrats to Jannik, well done with amazing grace!!

Commenter claimed that Jannik initially only spoke German when he arrived at Piatti's school, and then he learned Italian. Where did this man get his information from?🤣

Frankly I don't expect to see Fritz winning a major anytime soon... not because of his tennis, that could be up to the task, but because of his mental attitude: he seems incapable to focus on what really matters under that kind of pressure: I watched him addressing the crowd, compulsively touching his hair, verbalising (unneeded) explanations for his mistakes and it looked like he was expecting some kind of help from the outside (the crowd, the box, his muscle memory...) instead of being in the moment (in the game) as needed. The nice Italian, on the contrary, enjoys the pressure and this seemed to widen the gap between the two of them in the last, decisive games of the 3rd set.

yes, when you are accussed wrongly for no fault of yours, one billioneth the size of rice grain you don't have to be a rocket scientist to say that doesn't hold any ground, like yannick said people have a right to their opinion, glad he wasn't eating like a candy. The judges made the right decision based on the facts and how they traced it.
