[How to Brew] Hojicha Japanese Roasted Green Tea

Roasted Green Tea, or Hojicha (焙じ茶), has a distinct nutty, toasty flavor and aroma. It is low in caffeine due to being roasted in a pan. This tea is known to be good for digestion and ideal for drinking after meals or during the evening​, making it a popular choice among children and the elderly in Japan.

HOW TO BREW HOJICHA:
1. Heat fresh, filtered water until boiled.
2. Let boiled water cool slightly.
3. Pour water over tea. Recommended water temperature for Hojicha is 203°F (95°C). Try different brew times and temperatures to find your preference.
4. Steep for 1 - 2 minutes. All of our teas can be steeped up to 3 times.
