Easter Weekend railfanning at New Hyde Park, 4/13/2017

This video was shot at the New Hyde Park LIRR train station in New Hyde Park, NY

After finding out that these crossings will soon be gone due a big LIRR project to add a 3rd track to this line, me Millenniumforce, Charlotte and Sarah came out to railfan it before everything changes.

Also this is Millenniumforce's first time out here, we had alot of company, a few of my friends and a whole bunch of other railfans, mostly from Long Island.

Crossing #1 (South 12th Street):

Signal on right: 3 pairs of Safetran 12x24 LED lights, a Safetran gate motor and a WC Hayes mechanical bell

Signal on Left: 3 pairs of Safetran 12x24 LED lights, a Safetran gate motor and a WC Hayes mechanical bell

Both pedestrain signals have WC Hayes gate motor. The one on the left has 1 pair of Safetran LED lights, while the one on the right has has 2 pairs of lights.

Crossing #2 (New Hyde Park Road)

Signal # 1: 1 MI cantilever with 4 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch LED lights.

Signal #2: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch LED lights, a Safetran Gate motor and a WC Hayes mechanical bell

Signal #3: Another MI cantilever with 4 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights.

Signal #4: 1 pair of Safetran 12x24 inch LED lights, a Safetran Gate motor and a WC Hayes mechanical bell

Both pedestrian signals have WC Hayes gate motor. The one on the right has 1 pair of lights, while the one on the left has 2 pairs of lights
