As a 2003 kid....this song brings me to tears every time I hear it...I was 9 years old when this came out and that was the best time of my life. Back when life was simple. Back when you rollerskated with your best friends, you were just kids having a good time. You didn’t have any problems and if you did they went away....your mom smiling as she talked with your friend’s mom. You ate pizza and laughed like nothing bad could happen...back when friends just wanted to be good friends and bad people didn’t ruin things

Once my friend was over, and my older sibling came into my room holding their died hamster who they had had for two years. As they cried and we tried to comfort them they said one thing. “Play party rock.” This has lead us to now play Party Rock every time an animal dies. Sadly, I am here today at the death of my own hamster. We have lost many good girls and boys in the past few years, each time this song playing at their little funerals. My they party rock in heaven now.
