In 2002, EMBARQ founded CTS-México—a Mexican nongovernmental organization staffed with transport engineers, urban planners, and policy experts—and partnered with the Mexico City government to develop a bus rapid transit (BRT) corridor on a high-profile avenue running through the heart of the Mexican capital. The system has reduced emissions, improved mobility, and reduced travel times.

En Bogotá se aplicó este sistema de transporte inaugurado en el 2000 llamado Transmilenio, organiza bien el transporte pero en las horas pico colapsa por la gran cantidad de usuarios. Deben utilizarse otros sistemas complementarios como buses alimentadores. Tengo entendido que el sistema inspirador de este tipo de buses rápidos se empezó a aplicar en los años 90 en Curitiba Brasil.

lo malo es que somos muchos, aun incrementando la flotilla, es insuficiente el servicio en horas pico... es mejor esto que las micros.
