India's health workers face risks due to lack of protective equipment | Coronavirus Update

The COVID-19 pandemic has taken an especially brutal toll on the world's health workers, who are suffering physical and emotional strain. Community health workers in India have suddenly found themselves on the front line, for an extra 12 Euros a month. These women generally come from weak economic backgrounds and are earning as little as about 12 euros for their efforts against the spread of Covid-19, in addition to just about 36 euros a month that they get for playing a vital part in India’s healthcare system. India continues to be in a state of lockdown. The country has increased testing, has been identifying hotspots and establishing containment zones to curb the spread of the virus.

In all of the India, DW chooses a video to show about distressed position of covid in India & paint India in always negative shade whereas how a Nation of 1.3 bn people, managed to keep the total cases under 35k with the recovery rate of 38.4% is still something that this DW would never show.
Bureaucracy, front line health care workers, police all are working for 17-18 hours a day & giving their best to contain it but DW, don't you ever show that ok.

It's not easy to produce PPE kits fast...and the situation becomes more challenging if the nation has a big population...but still India is doing far better as compared to other western nations

Expected nothing else than selectively showing biased reports and problems in India. Considering that an average Indian state has a population as big as a European country, I think the government has done a decent job in controlling the virus. We're not perfect but it's not as bad as the western media makes it sound.

India has made 59, 000 Ventilator in April and making 60, 000 more by end of May. It's highest after China and India need a 2 Crore PPE kits and they are available by end of June. You just don't see positive side.

DW, I always liked your content and documentaries. But lately, I have seen that you are focused only in criticizing and missing good news. For example, lets take India. You know, there is a state called Kerala where they contained the virus like no one else and has set a good example even for the world. Your reporters seem to have never been there. I wish the world see at least some good news about India as an example of a community without religion or caste discrimination.
