Russia has accused Ukrainian intelligence officers of organising the assassination of Darya Dugina, the daughter of one of President Vladimir Putin's top supporters.

The FSB, Russia's internal security service, said a Ukrainian citizen who arrived in the country in July was behind the attack on Saturday night.

Officers said that the suspect fled Russia into Estonia after Dugina was killed in a car bomb on a road outside Moscow.

The BBC cannot independently verify the allegations and Ukraine has denied involvement in the attack.

Another group already claimed responsibility and it's not Ukraine it's an inside militia in Russia

Kind of funny how Putin would give his condolences to somebody he is friends with for the death of daughter but yet he doesn't give a rat's ass about ending the lives of thousands upon thousands of other innocent people just beyond their border and I don't see him giving those poor ukrainians any condolences for killing their loved ones. They have the attitude it's wrong to do it to them but it's okay when they do the same thing to other people.

So the FSB has cracked the case wide open, was that before or after the event ?

Is there anything Russia doesn't blame Ukraine for? Russia hasn't even begun to feel the pain that it deserves.

Amazing how quickly the FSB managed to find out who dunnit and yet the suspects still escaped! If true, it means the FSB has failed to secure either the Russian state internally or its borders. It is an admission of incompetence. I suppose that the head of FSB will now resign in shame.

It was a special operation not assasination ✋

Just like they apparently solved the Moscow apartment bombings quickly, how very convenient.

Sorry Russia but that'd what happens when you unjustly invade a country.

Funny how the FSB suddenly know so much about who did it. But yet couldn't stop the assassination. Russia's government is nothing but a clown show 🤣

The FSB might be the cause for this because in the year 2000 the FSB actually bombed apartments in Moscow and they used this as a excuse to start a second war with Chechinya

I personally think this may also be an internal mafia in Russia 🇷🇺 but Ukraine is suffering for the actions of another 🧐🧐🧐🧐

They can't admit that this was domestic terrorism so they blame it on Ukraine. It's domestic alright.

Quite incredible how quickly Russia has put a neat narrative together about this attack. And presumably a figure such as Dugin and his family would have some security awareness. I can't see how Ukraine can easily have done this without inside help. Either way this must be incredibly embarrassing for the Russian security services unless of course they are responsible. Putin needs Russians to feel under threat.

Of course, Russia will invent the story that most suits it.

Don't listen to any news that say "russian public opinion". They can't have an opinion. It's a police state. You say one thing wrong and you or your family members are in trouble. You/they can get fired from work, fined or jailed for having "wrong" opinions and I wouldn't be surprised if there's a similar situation in Ukraine. I wish all of them Russians and Ukrainians peace, freedom and prosperity.

Truly fantastic innovations in policing procedures that allows for "guilty" findings without the clutter of things like evidence or

I feel like this is just going to make Russia double down.

Interesting how Russia are going down this route though as it is basically telling the Russian people that they arnt safe and that their own security services can’t help (if this is all true)

Dugin's original idea, published in his book "Foundations of Geopolitics" in 1997, chose to view Anglophone nations (USA, UK) and China as the potential threats. Dugin advocated for the eradication of Finland, Belarus, Moldova, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Ukraine and Central Asian states. Dugin wanted the Baltic states to be partitioned. Dugin wanted the Balkans to be under the Orthodox Christian rule. Dugin also sought to give Poland, Armenia, India and Vietnam "special space" of existence, under various commands of controls; for Poland, Dugin wanted to see Poland having only a limited independence, for he himself was aware of Polish determination to resist Russia, he avoided war against Poland but sought to undermine Polish sovereignty. He also saw Germany and Japan as potential allies of convenience, stirring up their anti-Americanism and anti-NATO were needed. At the same time, he thought Iran and Russia should dominate the Middle East, and that Turkey and the Arab world should be exterminated from the world. Latam and Africa to be exploited. In his view, the United States, UK and China, were Russia's greatest threats.

Putin loves Dugin's works. He admires this and he wants to emulate. But he differs from Dugin in some view. Putin does not consider Poland and the Baltics as independent states, for it should be re-annexed to Russia. Putin does not see India and Vietnam as allies, but rather burdens for Russia, should be given to China if necessary. Putin sees Japan and Germany as useless nations. Putin, meanwhile, prefers to see Turkey and the Arab world fight each other, so Iran and Russia can exploit and dominate, rather than destroying the Arab world. But importantly, Putin views China as an ally for the Russian cause and can help rebuilding the Russian Empire, for a future world domination led by Russia and China (while Dugin wants China to be equally destroyed). Putin only shares similar view with Dugin regarding Anglophone world, other former Soviet states (including Ukraine), the Balkans (albeit with some differences), Finland, Turkey, Latam and Africa.

But judging Putin and Dugin are very close to each other, and the fact that Darya Dugina supported Putin's invasion of Ukraine, then she deserved the outcome. Lol.
