This season is bringing lots of cool art challenges, but the schedule is a little tight at the moment… so I’ve decided to pile a full week’s worth of #Swordtember2024 challenge prompts into one epic sword design! But can they all work together? Let’s find out!

I have a name for this sword that has some cool parts that I can argue for

“Faithfulless”

1, it sounds like nonsense, which matches the mixed aesthetic
2, is made of faithful and faithless, representing the divine and cursed sides

Jeez dude this is so good. Very inventive decisions made here; you were right to run with the cone theme once you discovered it.

Also, I can NOT get over the chunks taken out of the cracked half of the blade. It's just so wonderfully done, I could stare at it all day. Great work!

You really made all these themes that have no business working together all on one blade into a coherent, fun design. Also I kinda feel like a Kirby character could wield it in a roguelike spinoff. :>

this was a great idea. the monthly challenges are great if you have the time but you'll be more satisfied following the creative projects you're more passionate about

I was already excited when I saw how well the pico-8 palette worked. Then you added the reflection lines on the metal side. But the final animation sold it to me. soooo goood!
btw. could be a fun lore to explore that enemies that got hit with the divine side turn into allies, but enemies hit by the cursed side turn into zombies. So you have to be careful with your swings.
