2015 Arts Benefit Finale: Make it Happen!
Показать описание
Special Thanks to PS 51 Parent/Composer/Accompanist/Master Teacher TOYA TOKUYA for writing this incredible piece for our orff ensemble this year. Thank you for spending so much time with our little musicians this year and for believing in them as much as I do.
This piece, Make It Happen, truly speaks to what we teach our children at PS 51- anything is possible if you work hard and dedicate yourself to the things you love. If you really believe in something, don't ever give up- together you and I can MAKE IT HAPPEN.
In this unique performance, you'll notice that every child- recorder players, orff musicians, chorus, AND fashion designers- all took the stage to celebrate the final moments of our Arts Benefit together.
Our chorus wrote the lyrics to the piece after becoming inspired by the concert performance in March. We hope that this message will live on in all of our hearts for many years to come.
Thank you, Mr. Toya.
