It has also been said they are only your friend when they want something. There are two kinds of people, givers and takers. There seems to be more takers than givers. To say 'no' can be a dilemma for many givers. They feel guilt when saying, no, I cannot help you, especially to a family member who constantly has a sad story of need. They know you are an easy giver because you never failed to bail them out of a predicament. The taker realizes your weakness and instead of working out their own problem they turn to you quickly. It seems they do not weigh the problem to find a solution on their own. Sometimes the one who wants your help will tell a sad story to someone else you know and that makes it seem they are in dire need asap. The secondhand story relayed sounds much worse but isn't. Once, I said no, I can't help you and low and behold the person found a way to fix their own problem.
Lesson learned. It doesn't hurt to say no.
Enjoyed the video and the message as though it were directed towards me.👍
