Krita has a color picker tool, it is pressing Ctrl instead of Alt

you can create custom brushes in medibang just for anyone wondering

If you make a medibang account, you have tons of brushes at your disposal.

I wanna say that in Krita, I definitely have the option to hotkey color picker. I'm not sure why it isn't working for you but I do know it's an option. Mine is bound to ctrl and I don't have to manually re-elect my brush after.

Besides that, Krita is definitely my preferred choice. Like you said, it's only a shame that gradient maps don't work so well but I do actually find the brushes to be in many ways better than PS. So it's a trade off I'm willing to make ( watercolor brushes are super good )

I personally adore krita. Its a great piece of software and it lets you have so much control over your canvas

Finally someone recommended Krita. It's hotkey binding is super crazy. I like its brush size adjust shortcut most. You just need to press shift and drag.

The nice thing about Krita is it does get pretty frequent updates. So the software keeps getting better over time! ^^

*me already using Krita* Yeah go use this program!

What I like about it is that, while there arent many downloadable brushes available in the internet, the preset brushes the program already has is amazing, and very customizable. Hotkeys are simple and quick. Like, you can keep using the brush (B) but like hold CTRL for the eyedropper, or press E for the eraser while retaining the same brush you were already using.

I love using Medibang! I use to use Krita, but sadly it started to lag whenever I wanted to draw and kept crashing

I've been using Medibang for a while now. In Medibang there's a brush control tab, it was in the same section as the brush selector, the tabs were at the bottom so I don't think you noticed. Creating brushes in medibang is also different from photoshop. It's hard to explain without images, but I'll try to explain in a reply to this. It's easy to customise the workspace, in the windows tab at the top you can find things. Like photoshop, you just drag the tab to reorganise the workspace.

I'm not familiar with Kirta but I do know at the settings tab at the top there are options to customise your workspace with even more UI elements (Settings > Dockers). The themes are also nice, they're like dark and light mode, but more advanced (Settings > Themes). Under the window tab at the top there's premade workspaces (Window > Workspace), there's one for animation, a couple for vector and many for illustration making.

I use Autodesk sketchbook and I really like it I especially like how I can change my brush size and opacity by just dragging on the grey circle and how I can simple change the saturation and brightness by dragging the black circle

Krita's animation workflow is also GREAT. Could be a bit more polished, but it definitely gets the job done.

In Medibang, if I remember correctly, you can press Ctrl+Alt and then drag the pen across the canvas to increase and decrease the brush size effortlessly. I've found that a lot of softwares have it.

I've been working in sketchbook for a year, it felt simple and easy to learn and navigate, while photoshop just scared me away, too much stuff going on there, maybe it's just me. Instinctively though I understand that photoshop is better, but I'm too noob to just roll with it. You got me interested in krita, I'll try it, maybe It will help get used to photoshop. Thanks for the video :D

Well, I have been wanting to switch to medibang for a long time, (Had AutoDesk Sketchbook) but when I tried krita, it was just too overwhelming. I didnt understand anything and I always had it glitch and lag then shut off. So, maybe in the future I'll try krita again!
