The largest flying bird in the US, California condors are on the brink of extinction. But a group of wildlife biologists are merging ecology and technology and using GPS to help save the species.

I grew up in the south central valley in california an NEVER saw one while growing up in the 90s and 2000s. It was only this decade when I started to see them out in the wild. Great success story! Still have a ways to go!
