Australia was never going to be left just for the Aborigines, at some point in time it would have been colonised by some other country. if it wasn’t the British that colonised Australia, which other country would all these activists would have preferred to colonise Australia? The reason my parents migrated to Australia in the 1960s, was because Australia is a western democracy.

Yes Australia was never invaded, but yes some Aboriginal people lost all their cultural knowledge, traditions and land.
As for the genocide argument, it can be interpreted any which way. But most significant was how Aboriginal people lost access to sacred land important to their culture. Others were forbidden from ever seeing their homeland again. So there is some dark aspects to history rooted in misunderstanding and violence
