From Menaion - - -
Mode 1. Automelon.
In heaven be amazed by the wonder, O Angels; * with voices cry aloud a divine hymn, O mortals,* beholding the ineffable condescension of God to us.* For now Symeon holds in his aged embraces * Him before whom stand the hosts of heaven and tremble,* the only One who loves mankind. [SD]
Kathisma II.

Mode 1. The soldiers keeping watch.
The One who is upon the holy throne with the Father, * has come upon the earth and was born of a Virgin. * An infant has He become who by years is uncircumscribed. * And when Symeon in his embraces received Him, * he rejoiced and said, You made me glad, now release me, * Your servant, O compassionate Lord. [SD]
Kathisma III.
From Menaion - - -
Mode 4. Joseph marveled.
Now the Ancient of Days becomes an infant for me. * And the most pure God now shares purification with me, * to show that truly He assumed my flesh from the Virgin. * And Symeon was led to know the mystery * and recognized as God the one he saw in the flesh. * And he embraced and kissed Him as life itself, * and he rejoiced as an elder and cried aloud, * Let me depart now, for I have seen You, * O Lord, the life of all things. [SD]
ᾨδὴ θʹ.
Ode ix.
Megalynaria. Mode 3.
Past the understanding of * all the angels, mortals, too, * Virgin Mother, Lady pure, * is that which occurred in you.
In his arms the Elder one, * Symeon, embraces You, * the Creator of the Law * and the Governor of All.
Wishing Adam to be saved, * He who fashioned us abode * in the womb immaculate * of the Virgin Lady pure.
Every generation of * mortal nature blesses you, * and, as Mother of our God, * gives you glory, Lady pure.
Come and see the Christ who is * Lord and Master of all things, * who today by Symeon * to the Temple now is borne.
Ἐπιβλέπεις πρὸς τὴν γῆν, καὶ ποιεῖς τρέμειν αὐτήν, καὶ πῶς γέρων κεκμηκώς, σὲ κατέχει ἐν χερσί;
You look down upon the earth * and thereby You make it quake; * how then does a worn old man * hold You now within his arms?
Symeon lived many years, * till the Christ he was to see, * then to Him he called aloud, * "My departure now I seek."
You indeed, O Mariam, * have become the mystic tongs, * which enclosed the burning coal, * Christ conceived within your womb.
Make my soul to shine, O Lord, * with the light perceptible, * that I purely look on You, * and proclaim You as my God.
O believers, come let us perceive * a type in the law, and the shadow and the letter. * Every male that opens the womb shall be holy to God. * So the unoriginate Father's firstborn Logos and Son, * who is the firstborn of the Mother who knew not man,
The Meeting of our Lord, God and Savior Jesus Christ.
