A draggy will give accurate gps times as well as 1/8 mile and even quarter mile times. The no prep no time drag races use it to keep their times and mph to themselves.

A draggy is for sure the way to go for your speed testing!

Been rewatching the road to horsepower series got me thinking. A dyno session would be cool to see the differences between the 3 different hemi heads. The predator hemi, ducar/Tillotson hemi and the wildcat hemi. Using the same short block with the average build; billet flywheel and rod, .265 cam, flatslide carb. Even use the same thickness of head gasket (new gasket for each head swap). Would be cool to see the dyno charts to see what head works best at which rpms.

Nice job with the overlay on the dyno graph! But I'd still love to see stock included also. It just helps put things into perspective

Might have to use this similar build on a motorized bike frame should be interesting

+1 on draggy! I have had one for almost 5 years and it is very accurate.

Respectable numbers. EC makes thee best billet flywheel and matches what the can manufactures state for timing. ARC is still good but have to buy a 2-3 deg key on top of the flywheel for some reason. Also thank you very much for being honest in the 0-30Mph issue. Always important to build the trust of your viewers and no worries as it wasn’t something anybody knew up front and great catch on the TEAM RBG’s part.

See ya ✌🏼 next vid

Sky rc makes a cool one for rc cars. It'd work perfectly

Go by distance. You start at roughly the same place each time so you can calculate a known distance using your footage from the previous runs and compare that to the new runs. Once you know your distance you can use your footage to give you a time and you can compare that over the various stages of the build. Kind of like a dragster.

I bought the wildcat 223 and a stage 3 kit from EC, and the valve tools from you, just waiting on the tools to show up so I can build my motor, awesome videos, keep them coming

Once again get a dragy. Ive been saying this in your videos and on the facebook group for 3+ years now. You (or your wife...cant remember) even replied finally on facebook in a post last year and said you would look into getting one.

Have you tried a bicycle digital programable speedo? I’ve used them on my karts in the past. First install magnet and sensor. Then You calculate the tire roll out. Then do the math formula it gives you. Take that number program it into the little digital screen and boom speedo. Live real time display. Every straightaway, corner apex, entry and exit. Like a motorcycle with a digital speedometer.

Either a draggy, or an GNSS, usually used in the remote control car world for drag racing

Great video RBG - I saw your Valve Installation & Removal tool and purchased one - works great! the other way is a bit of a pain, many thanks..

That head is really holding that motor back. Get a good non hemi head and some compression it would pick up a decent amount.

For trapping accurate time to speed you just can't beat the old stopwatch and radar gun combo.

Thanks for the Video RBG. At what point does the charging coil get sacrificed? On an engine without a charging coil how do you suggest running light for a go kart?

Awesome. Try 1.3:1 ratio rockers with this cam.
