I just finished the book recently The Creature from Jekyll Island it's a really great book, explaining how and why they made the federal reserve. It's also very interesting when you look at the prices of everything for decades and decades, it's not that things really cost more. It's much more in line with our US dollar is worth less.

I hadn't heard about the natives. I use to live on jekyll and my dad actually helped restore the Rockefeller cottage. Doesn't suprise me with the elites, money and blood go hand in hand. Very haunted over there, through the entire historic area. I use to work in crane cottage and sensed the spirits there. Thanks for covering this.

I am from that area. I am from a town 30 miles away called Jesup. As soon as I could, I got the hell out of there. The islands, as they are referred to in that area are a huge source of income for the locals. Jekyll, Saint Simons, and Sea Island are all there together. I made this drive daily from Jesup to the islands for work. Yes, the place is weird and so are the locals. It's very much, if you ain't from here don't come here mentality. Sure it's southern hospitality, if you are passing through, but try moving there unwanted.😮 The older generation was into some weird shit and they have a church on every corner. It's very very click based even for adults. Hell, especially adults. I was never in the loop, but I would not be. However, there's that feeling everywhere. Ya know, like you just walked in on a room full of people talking shit about you, but yet you didn't. It feels like that all the time everywhere you go, so ya, there's some strange shit going on over there. Everyone is on drugs and a lot of your high rollers vacation there. It was a quarter million just to have a house on the Islands back in the 90s and it didn't matter what kind of home you had. That was just to be a "member". And that's a Q mill a year too.😮 People make 100 thousand dollar year business just keeping these rich fu$ks grass cut. It is gross 🤢 at the money these people spend. These houses are nice and so are their boats and cars, but NOT for the money they pay. I have seen behind the curtain. It's not all that. It makes me think what is that money really going towards 🙄.

The Timacua burial mounds are still visible on the properties of the buildings. Fun fact: Pulitzer was an outcast by both sides but wintered at the JI resort with them to get the proverbial scoop. The resort/hotel is in full operation today. The original homes of the elite are open for tours and events. Lots of history on this small island.
