Ah, creative! Good choice, I swear by these guys for audio. I've got a pair of their Gigaworks T20 Series II speakers, and for a 2.0 set they have really good bass response. I picked up their "Sound Blaster Z" card not too long ago, and I'm impressed how good it sounds. Thing is, I used to have bass boost on and I got used to it, so while I've lost a considerable amount of bass, it doesn't sound nearly as muddy as it did on my old sound card with that on.


My dad has a pair of A30 speakers, and good lord, they are the best sounding speakers I have ever heard! It's such a shame they don't sell them anymore.

There was a newer version of the XMod, it was black and had transport controls and a remote.
I think the newer version is the Sound Blaster Omni.

Interesting video TOm. I used to use Creative sound cards in my PC builds. I stopped using them after I bought one of their latest top of the line X-Fi cards and it sucked. Couldn't wait to sell that thing. These days i stick to decent USB interfaces. I'm really not a fan of the creative sound any more, you can get far better sound from even those cheap Behringer UCA-202 interfaces. I never used any of the special features and the 'enhancements', as i thought they sounded horrible.
