As a gay dude that grew up in the 80s and 90s I have no sympathy for this new generation, try growing up trying to understand being gay before the internet and before it was on tv. That was real fear, now there are so many outlets for kids to figure out who they are in safe spaces, but by all means, continue to play the victim y'all, makes us look super great and not unhinged at all.

I used to have her mindset. I'm a trans guy and used to say that people who called me a girl were denying my humanity. I now see how reactionary, narcissistic, delusional and hysterical that mindset is. I don't care what people call me as I don't give others the power to control my wellbeing. My father passed away in January. We got into political debates all the time. Each one ended with one of us cracking a joke and we'd laugh hysterically. He was an amazing father and one of my best friends, I can't imagine giving up a single day of that over political differences. I'd give anything to hear him call me a "looney liberal" one more time
