They should be called MOOEs (Massive Open Online Experience). It is not a “course” when there is no one curating the process, monitoring identity or examining the student’s achievement.

In the present corrupt system, the name of the institution where one got a degree was given preference to the standard or the amount of knowledge or expertise a person had. This state of affairs is still rampant in poorer countries, where jobs are given to people who are not the best for the job according to their knowledge or training but to people that are
" connected" or that pay for the position.
