Great advice! I have been producing since I did your GarageBand course last October! I have taken around 50 songs from 0 to 1 and of those I am happy to put just a few up on SounCloud, but they are getting positive feedback! It's a great feeling to make something that never existed before and to see growth in quality over time. Quantity over quality is key in the beginning :)

Thank you for your advice, I will start using them, until now I was sitting in front of logic and listen to all kind of sounds and then decide what I can build . Until now I had 0 inspiration on lyrics... hope I can find more advices on this topic soon. Keep up man!

Great video! I agree all the way!!! Just stay in creating mode! Dump the idea and come back later! I do it all the time!

Advice to songwriters: always record the idea! Mine always hit me in my sleep or driving!

Just document everything.

Hi Charles, I have a few questions. 1) If I want to put my very first song up on Spotify do I need to do it through Distrokid OR ASCAP/BMI first? 2. Do you prefer ASCAP or BMI? 3. If I make a mistake during the ASCAP/BMI registering stage can I go back and change anything once it's been submitted? Thank you!

what if you cant play an instrument? I had a pleasant dream and woke up with the tune i heard in th dream but cant put it into practice. Is there software that can help with that?

Logic has ruined my workflow . I can’t get excited using it. It’s a quagmire of garbage that stalls everything I want to do . I spent so much energy trying to sync my hardware and master clock to work with it but everything in the Logic world is out of sync and requires searching and that kills everything. I own their flagship computer and software and Logic doesn’t even have drag and drop or a decent browser with all the plug ins visible every thing is a navigation nightmare. And apple is totally unsupportive unless your signed as far as giving a workflow without there crappy loops and third party content. All this because they had to ruin the iPad Pro by removing the powered 192 klhz audio out . Tim Cook is a pariah. 😖👽
