Yeah, i would have also rejected his painting. Its looks like something my little sister would draw (she is 6 years old) . lol, this reminds me of the episode of oggy and the cockroaches. Oggy tries his best to make art, the best he can. But people dont like his painting but when cockroches mistakenly dropped some ink on the canvas, then people started to appreciate that gibberish painting.
